A George Foster Peabody Award winner, American radio personality Mike Whorf began his work in radio with the United States Air Force before spending nearly forty years of his career at WJR in Detroit, Michigan. There he developed his ever-popular documentary/narrative program, "Kaleidoscope," which draws on a blend of storytelling, interviews, historic recordings, and music of the ages to create a captivating portrait of various topics. He also created Mike Whorf, Inc., which enabled schools, libraries, and individuals to purchase copies of his shows for personal and educational purposes.
